Sorry about the confusion. There are many non-standard CFA devices and AFAIK not all are supported currently. It seems yours is one of those. I'm afraid we'll have to take this to upstream. Can you please get a vanilla 2.6.20.3 running on your machine and see whether the same problem exists (it's highly likely)? If so, please report dmesg including boot and the error, the result of lspci -nn, description of the PCMCIA device and how the error is triggered to linux-ide@vger.kernel.org and cc me.
