No risk, no fun :) (for 10.3...).
Pavel is right, there was a discussion about the statically compiled in Banias
frequency information and I cannot find this in acpi_cpufreq.

Venkatesh should know the best moment to switch and hopefully helps a bit when
we have problems with latest mainline kernels, that is what we will work with
the next month on 10.3.

I second Seife's comment #2 and suggest to go ahead..., it's worth investing
some time if something breaks as it's the way mainline wants to go...
