As I am totally clueless with regard to Apple Airport my suggestion was just a guess.
Is your wireless network broadcasting its ESSID? If not, does it help if you move the network to the "Fallback Group" (Options -> Show Networks -> Drag and drop the network to fallback and restart KNetworkManager).
I don't have a wireless network here, so i can't test the network move to "Fallback Group"... But in any case, although there is no wireless network accesible from here, KNetworkManager would have to be able to activate the wireless connection, showing a message saying "no network connections available". The problem, then, is not that i can not connect to a wireless network (i think it could be possible with the 'iwconfig' tool), but wireless interface is not detected/managed by KNetworkManager.
Anyway, i will try if "Options -> Show Networks" show a wireless network when it is accesible... when i have a wireless network accesible... :-)
I will reply with more information as soon as i have it. Thanks for your help.
Regards, Ignacio.
I have now a wireless network accesible (some neighbour have one...). It is shown in 'iwconfig', but KNetworkManager do not show it in "Options -> Show Networks". -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
