so maybe some of the single cpu chipset from via etc. dont support 4gig ram correctly cos of memory mapping issues and so forth, maybe you can try some new bios update or try with less mem, or try different boards/chipsets.

Same topic, does anybody know (1st hand) if the Tyan S2850 board (AMD 8111/8131 chipset) will:
1. address 4 GB (DDR400) correctly (ie completely absent whatever small bits the Bios needs) ?
2. address 8 GB (DDR333) correctly (same caveat) ?
Their website says it will, but then Asus' website says their SK8V will also .... ;-)
