There are enough options with companies supporting that for open-source contributors. I'm looking forward to be able to contribute more to openSUSE for s390x in the future.

It's probably too late now, but did you ever consider applying for a job with SUSE, directly?

I did that since my degree as a Computer Science Expert. Firstly, I have received the comment, that I would not be qualified enough as a System Integrator. Then I studied Computer Science in Nuremberg and then there was the statement "We don't want to have Computer Scientists from Nuremberg!". I was the founder of the AG Open Source at our faculty and have chosen new professors with an focus on open source development. I have heard by my fellow students about this holding at SUSE because of a Bachelor Thesis. I was Student Representative and Student Senator. This holding by SUSE was the reason to go to Böblingen after my Bachelor degree. Best regards, Sarah
