Hello, Dne 18.2.2016 v 16:18 guenter napsal(a):
Hi folks,
because I have no Novell account nere a bug report to whom it me concern:
opensuse 13.1
JFYI: openSUSE-13.1 is pretty old and it is not supported anymore [1].
yast2 proxy test proxy config => returns error
Details: [...] * HTTP 1.0, assume close after body
< HTTP/1.0 301 Moved Permanently
Solution: Choose another test destination
Actually that is not a problem, the redirection (code 301) is considered as a success by YaST [2]. But I found in the changelog this bug [3] which has been fixed in 13.2. It basically means the test does not work because there was a wrong regexp used for parsing the response (introduced by the YCP->Ruby conversion). Because 13.1 is not supported anymore we won't fix the bug there, simply ignore the reported error. So, if I understand it correctly, there is no longtime supported consistent version of openSUSE anymore? I'm scared... Hi Gunter, evergreen is community effort to prolong maintenance of selected opensuse versions. YaST team ( in sense YaST maintainers paid by SUSE ) do not add too such community as we are overwhelmed by bugs from officially released ones or by new features. Of course we do not block any backporting of fixes, sending fixes to branches to git or whatever effort whoever want to do, but we do not activelly maintain evergreen versions. If you want to try yourself backport fix, just visit us on freenode#yast and I try to help you with doing backport. Regards, Josef

Regards, Josef I try to get in touch with one of the Evergreen guys. I have also
[...] trouble with yast2-update package or whoever is the culprit, which since a while tries to "update" kernel-desktop 3.11.10 with 3.11.6 ... So one has to deactivate the original/distribution repo. If I'm not successful with it I'll come back on mentioned IRC channel, thanks! -- . -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: yast-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: yast-devel+owner@opensuse.org
