hi, does anybody know, when there will be a X.org 6.9/7.0 for suse9.3? or at least a new version of 6.8.2 for suse9.3? with the 6.8.2 included in suse9.3 there is a problem: with an Intel(r)865G Graphics Controller and an hp p930 19" monitor i only get 74hz@1600*1200 whereas with 6.8.2rc2 (and all former releases) i get 85hz@1600*1200 with the same hardware. -- einen schönen Tag noch DI Rainer Klier Abteilung IT - Entwicklung ECOLOG Logistiksysteme GmbH Bauernstraße 11, A-4600 Wels Tel. ++43/7242/66200 Fax ++43/7242/66200-200 mailto:kra@ecolog.at http://www.ecolog.at

Probably I'll provide SUSE 9.3 RPMs for an updated version of X.Org 6.8.2 (mostly drivers) together with the final release of (open)SUSE 10.0.

Unfortunately this is still an issue and popped up again in Bugzilla (#102345). :-( Best regards, Stefan Public Key available ------------------------------------------------------ Stefan Dirsch (Res. & Dev.) Hi, I did not have chance to scan the archives yet, so please forgive me, if this has been discussed before already. I just upgraded to 9.2 and am now running X 6.8.1, as it was installed from the CDs. Currently I am experiencing the following problem: If I press the ALT GR key and e.g. the | (aka <) I get a space inserted in front of the | (as you can see here). Now most of the time this is not a problem in shell, but editing is quite bothersome. I tried to find out what is happening with xev and I can see, that pressing either the ALT GR key or the space both generate two keypress events, the ALT_GR an ISO_Level3_Shift, followed by a space. The space key does it the other way round. And there are two keyrelease events for both of the keys. Is there a newer version of the X server, which solves this problem or what else can I do? The problem did not exist in the Xfree 86 version of the X server. Thanks in advance Dieter Wörz
i had the same problem. the solution was to fix the keyboard: pc104 -> pc105 and remove all the options from the keyboard section the winkeys cause the problem (IMHO) re walter Dieter Woerz wrote:
