Which Intel gfx chip do you have (clue: lspci)?
i915, driver is found but requieres acpi to work (took me by surprise)
i915 is a driver name used by many different Intel chips. What is the VGA output from the lspci command?
I am totaly stuck where KDE stores that type of configs.
It doesn't. Furthermore, ACPI is normal/standard/supported on newer systems, one reason we need to know which chip you have if you want usable help. Most of the time there need be no explicit mention of ACPI relating to getting X or KDE or kernel to work properly. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
