Hello, I have a laptop running Suse8.2. Recently I connected an external TFT monitor (SyncMaster 191T with 1280*1040 resolution), but I do not manage to configure such that I get a good picture on the screen , at least not via yast2 - the picture is always cut off in some places. Can somebody recommend a way how to solve this? The system does not even respond to my wishes to change resolution etc. Looking into /etc/X11/XF68Config I see Section "Monitor" Option "CalcAlgorithm" "CheckDesktopGeometry" DisplaySize 320 240 HorizSync 30-90 Identifier "Monitor[0]" ModelName "1400X1050@60HZ" Option "DPMS" VendorName "--> LCD" VertRefresh 40-60 UseModes "Modes[0]" EndSection but even if I change to the 1280*1040 suitable for the screen it does not work.
