Could you please provide the rpms for SuSE 9.1 as well? If that is not possible, are SRPMS available and if so, could you give me a 10 line mini-howto on anything special I might have to do to build from the sources?
The SRPM is available in the sources subdirectory. For building see
/usr/share/doc/packages/build/README
in the build package. I neither tried to build it with 9.1 nor did I test the packages on SuSE 9.1. So if you run into any problems, you're on your own. I'm sorry.
Stefan, I understand that you have to limit your effort.
Osho, if you try this, will you report your results? As I have a nVidia 5200 FX graphics adapter with 128 MB RAM which I could not get to support dual heading, I would like to try the improved driver - maybe this one does it. (Now I use a Matrox 450 which worked immediately with SuSE 8.2 and 9.1, but it has only 32 MB RAM.)
the Gainward NVidia FX 5200 is running on my systemd (DualMonitoring), with 9.1 - 9.2, you can configure with SaX2, the 5200 is in the database for Dualmonitoring (Update SaX2 on ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/supplementary/X/SaX2/*) you have to delete first the original found config and mark the (DH) DualMode config. -- MfG / Regards Günther J.
