You may have noticed that translated wikis (at least french one :-) have a very long back page notice.
with the standard layout, this is hudge and confusing.
As a guess for a solution, I used for it the
<div class="toc special_info">
already used for the page "hat". This seems very smart, and enclose the page in two similar paragraphs.
I like it and I applied to te Italian wiki.
The new skin is beautifull, but How can I edit the right column? (news...), it's not in the main page and no link is visible (I used to have then in a separate page, but this is unimportant)
In the Italian wiki, I can edit the Mainpage right column, but it is not visible in the Mainpage. I've controlled the source but I can't figure why... yes - MediaWiki:Mainpage has to be the exact same string as the Homepage title (i.e. without underscores). Uhm.. was not my fault. The fact is: when logged in, in the Mainpage I see the right column, but when not logged in, I don't. sounds like a server-side caching problem. it works for me (not logged in) with ?action=purge yes, seems to be a cache issue, which will be solved soon. -- with kind regards, Martin Lasarsch, Core Services SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5 90409 Nürnberg GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) martin.lasarsch@suse.de - http://www.opensuse.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+help@opensuse.org

Ok, now the right column is shown, but it seems it doesn't refresh, for example when I edit the content or when news feeds are updated. With "?action=purge" it refreshes partially, since it updates the news, but doesn't update other changes in the content. For instance, now in the right column the block "Roadmap" reports: "4 Ottobre", but in the main page (when not logged in) I see the previous version "4 Ott". Same as the empty line between "4 Ottobre: openSUSE 10.3 Finale" and "vedi Roadmap... " which is not displayed in the home page when not logged in. Can you solve this, too?
