Subhashish, a Google Code In student has made the proposal to include a
list of popular portals onto the main page so people can get there with
fewer clicks. I have implemented this with DynamicPageList in the
Template:Portal_footer. It's online on the main page. What do you think?

I like it very much. just remain to see if it's usefull on the day to 
day use. At least it do not hurt :-))
