You just quoted too less ;-) The section where I mentioned this image was about arranging the language links, not about colors - and I never said I prefer the black background ;-)
i think the placing of the links should be doable with _html_ and _css_ the round placing will be pain in the a**. putting into the corner was an easy and nice solution imho.
Just have a look at http://wikipedia.org/ - they have positioned the language links with position:absolute (left/top with various values, specified in %). [1] Placing the links in the corners is technically easier of course, but it looks terrible IMHO. Aua. Ich weiß nicht, ob diese "vorsichtige" Einstellung ein Pluspunkt für Debian ist - es dürfte viele User verärgern. Ich versuche, irgendwie die Formulierung "total bescheuert" zu umgehen, finde aber keine Alternative und sag dann lieber garnix. [Ratti in fontlinge-devel über die abgeschaltete ~/.bashrc in Debian]
