It would even look better if the columns wouldn't clash and there would be some space inside the colored area (right column). Can you add some padding? I'd propose (untestet): - left column: padding-right: 10px; - right column: padding-left:10px; padding-right:10px;
Done. There was already padding tag to correct right column text starting at the very top, which added top padding of 10px, so right and left was easy to add. I additionally removed horizontal lines that underscore that sections are not equal on both sides without any other benefits. Shorter rows in a new layout don't need artificial separator that is used as aid to locate border between sections and make reading easier on eyes. Sincerely, there is so many ways to make reading harder (goof up design) that is almost art to get it right, and it seems that simple works good, simpler is better and the simplest is the best; from usability perspective. <div id="page_1"> has no closing tag - any idea what it is used for?
