[opensuse-web] openSUSE: Localization_team wiki page is not protected from unwanted changes
Hi. It seems that https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Localization_team is editable by everyone.I think that's not ok because anyone can edit it's content and write wrong information in this page. For example, one person recently put his name as Persian language coordinator for openSUSE project in this page, while he is not responsible for this task anymore. ( see https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-translation/2016-10/msg00025.html ). Sarah Julia Kreisch removed him from list of coordinators in 2016. I but he keeps editing this page and puting his info on this page. I also sent a message to him on April 23 via Telegram and told him that he is not openSUSE Persian language coordinator anymore, with a link of conversations from mailing list in 2016. but it seems that he won't care and he keeps writing his info in this page for a reason. Anyway, shouldn't this page, openSUSE:Localization_team wiki page, be a protected page and only editable by moderators and not everyone? Regards Hayyan Rostami

Hi, let me play the devil's advocate here: Where do you draw the line between pages editable by registered users and moderators? I think reverting a few changes is a little price for keeping the barriers low to get new authors aboard. Regards, vinz.
Hi, That can have different reasons that somebody is not active as an translator. Many Contributors have private reasons and come back to our community again. You are comparing an email from 2016 with the status of the team in 2019. I was able to close a old translation bug (incl. Persian) this year, because the Persian Coordinator has answered (after some days). I (as the Global Localization Coordinator) prefer to have this page editable for the whole community. The reason is that we need Coordinators (in the best case) for all different languages. I have subscribed this page and look after the content after every contribution of this page. Therefore, I don't see any problem. I am open for everybody who wants to be responsible for his language. ;) In addition, I have been testing the list of Coordinators continuously.
