Hi Jim,

No bootargs are necessary. The default kernel in domU's /boot/grub/menu.lst will be selected (which could be overridden with bootargs).
bootargs=''
should suffice.
For an Opensuse 11.4 DomU on Opensuse 11.4 Dom0, using cat mail.cfg name = 'mail' builder = 'linux' bootloader = '/usr/lib/xen/boot/domUloader.py' bootargs = '--entry=xvda1:vmlinuz-xen,/boot/initrd-xen' ... running xm create -c mail.cfg gives the usual long/verbose output at console, ending with success at Welcome to openSUSE 11.4 "Celadon" - Kernel 2.6.37.6-0.7-xen (xvc0). mail login: If I switch to using pygrub instead, cat mail.cfg name = 'mail' builder = 'linux' bootloader = '/usr/bin/pygrub' bootargs = '' ... and leaving everything else the same, running xm create -c mail.cfg gives me instead pyGRUB version 0.6 ┌────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐ │ OpenSUSE 11.4 Xen4 DomU │ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ └────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘ Use the ^ and v keys to select which entry is highlighted.
