Now question that friends will ask me when they try to use linux for the first time: Q: "What is [ |local|remote] CUPS server?" My A: 1) Server is the name for every program that is listening for your commands all the time and when you have one it will do what you've asked. 2) CUPS server is program that is managing printing. 3) Local CUPS server is the one running on your computer. 4) Remote CUPS server is the one running on other computer that you can reach over network.
I will keep in mind this. Btw - Printers/Queues is planned as default tab, so users don't need to know anything about other "expert staff" when configuring his own local printer.
I can imagine a lot more questions that Linux guy has to answer before new user has working printer. Too many for my slow typing.

Michal, The problem is that really essential stuff has to be explained or somehow hidden in advanced tab. IMHO, any YaST module must provide elementary data, but also if something doesn't work as designed, much more tools and settings hidden behind Advanced button or tab, for experienced guys that allow successfull troubleshooting. -- Regards, Rajko. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-usability+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-usability+help@opensuse.org
