This could be an unexpected result of a problem I fixed yesterday. Story ----- Some weeks ago we had to test at Uyuni the new salt version that we plan to push for Leap 15.2. At that moment the salt testing version was 2019.2.3. Sadly, we did not notice that we had to rollback that for releasing, and when we did the Uyuni 2020.03 release, salt 2019.2.3 was still there. The salt packages are not part of the server or proxy repositories, as those should come from Leap 15.1 https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/systemsmanagement:/Uyuni:/Stable/ images/repo/Uyuni-Server-POOL-x86_64-Media1/noarch/ https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/systemsmanagement:/Uyuni:/Stable/ images/repo/Uyuni-Proxy-POOL-x86_64-Media1/noarch/ However they are part of the client tools. Then yesterday I noticed this, so we had to go back to the correct version (2019.2.0). So despite you really didn't explain, I suspect you see this on a reposync for one or more of the client tools repositories. If so, then that's the explanation. Didn't remember yesterday, but this is something expected from OBS [1], and since you are resyncing, it seems you get the only versions that are now there. In short -------- * For new bootstrapped clients you will get 2019.2.0 * Current should remain on 2019.2.3 (I don't really think you will be a downgrade if you try to upgrade). The good news are: salt 2019.2.0 is basically 2019.2.3 as our salt team backports a lot of stuff. So I don't expect problems. And soon (hopefully Leap 15.2 won't take long), we will switch everything (server, proxy and clients except CentOS6) to salt 3000 or even 3000.1 Avoiding this again ------------------- For the near future, I plan to create a CI job to warn us when the salt version is not what it should be, so we can't release and we don't make this mistake again. Sorry about the inconvenience. [1] I don't really remember where (I think it was at the OBS mailing lists), but I saw an message explaining that you can only have one single version of a package at a repository unless you use MIs and linking (that's why at https:// build.opensuse.org/project/show/openSUSE:Leap:15.1:Update you see packages with .NNNN). Sadly with our current resources this is not really an option for us and we use the `release` mechanism provided by OBS which does not manage the linking part. I see salt packages are downgraded from 2019.2.3 to 2019.2.0 in Uyuni 2020.04 in same stable repo? Why?
