Subject: [SLE] MySQL startup funny
I have the mysql service set to start at boot time at runlevel 5. My
boot.msg
contains the following:
Starting service MySQL
Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /var/lib/mysql
failed
and a little later:
Master Resource Control: runlevel 5 has been reached
Failed services in runlevel 5: mysql
However, MySQL appears to be running okay; I can enter the mysql command and
view databases. Does anyone know how I find out what caused the failed
message? There is nothing in /var/log/messages. I know everything seems to
work, but I'd hate for the cause of the 'error' to come and bite me at some
later stage.
Cheers,
TonyB
