[SLE] linksys 10/100 nic help
I have just aquired a new nic linksys 10/100 card. I want to install it in suse. Is this card supported or will have to install a driver from floppy. I have an older linksys card taht is 10 m only an can dl the driver from the net if i need to. It should be supported. You should verify the chip used, but all of mine use the tulip.o driver. Make sure you are using a fairly recent kernel because I think < 2.2.10 had an outdated version of this driver.

uSE YAST , HARDWARE , NETWORK CARD , and choose the DEC Tulip driver , accept the defaults and save and reboot. I have several and have used the stock suse dec tulip driver anbd it works like a charm. No need to compile or use the other drivers. At 07:16 PM 7/2/2000 -0500, Jack Malone wrote:

It may be a tulip clone (PNIC tranciever), but there is also a (slim) chance that you have one of the Linksys cards that used the ne2kpci module. On Sun, 02 Jul 2000, you wrote:

I have the card setup an running now. Thanks to all for the help.
