Hi, I have recently purchased a Pioneer DVR-109 and wish to burn a dual layer dvd from a Linux command line. I have SuSe 9.3 which offers cdrecord as an option, from which I have found your email address. Can cdrecord write a dual layer dvd and can you suggest a suitable command line which could achieve this, please? I am happy to download a new rpm if necessary. Many Thanks John

Go to http://gd.tuwien.ac.at/utils/schilling/cdrecord/ProDVD/ Read the readme files and get a key for cdrecord. Instructions are on the site to tell you the command line to write DL DVD's. Ed Harrison SuSE 9.3, Kernel 2.6.11 PolarBar Mailer 1.25a

I have burnt Dual layer DVD's using K3B on SuSE 9.2 without any problems. I'm not sure which program K3B calls to achieve this. -- Regards, Graham Smith

I've used it to sucessfully copy the SUSE 9.2 DVD (7.5GB image, dual layer). -- Kind regards Hans du Plooy SagacIT (Pty) Ltd hansdp at sagacit dot com
