Sean Akers@ROMAX 19/04/2000 18:23 I've had this problem with 6.3 as well. Worked perfectly in 6.0 and earlier versions. I couldn't access the X-server. It seems like they beefed up security to stop remote access by default. I cured the problem by editing /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xdm/Xaccess remove the '!' characters from any lines that begin with them. As I remember there is one line which consists of a '!*'. This should allow any host to connect to the server. Hope this helps. I cured the problem by editing
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xdm/Xaccess
remove the '!' characters from any lines that begin with them. As I remember there is one line which consists of a '!*'.
This should allow any host to connect to the server.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Sean.
