[opensuse] rdiff-backup 1.28 glitch (on 13.1)
Hi, folks, I unexpectedly run into problem with rdiff-backup 1.28 on OpenSuSE 13.1 (after upgrade from 12.x) performing backup from one local disk to another. rdiff-backup exits with the following error message: Unable to import win32security module. Windows ACLs not supported by filesystem at /backup …. Source and destination directories are local RAID 5 and additional backup hard drive (NOT shares or via SSH). I built rdiff-backup 1.3.3 beta, no remedy. Corresponding Python modules required by rdiff-backup are installed. Googling reveal this problem was encountered by other people, unfortunately, no working fixes found. Some suggested turn off compression, and unset PYTHONOPTIMIZE, it didn't help either. Anyone have any clue how to fix this great backup utility? Thanks in advance for any suggestion(s). Wild guess (as you most probably are using an ACL-capable file system type for /backup): is the file system mounted with '-o noacl'? Have a nice day, Berny -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Thanks for reply. Both file systems are ext4, of course ACL capable. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
