[opensuse] fun with seccheck-2.0-1348.1.noarch
This package ist from the security repo for openSUSE 13.1, and it threw me out of my system several times today, until I recognized the reason :-) The package contains a cronjob (/etc/cron.d/autologout) which seemingly looks for console activities. When there are none for 60 minutes, the user is logged out. Unfortunately, the autologout job does not recognize that I start my box in non-graphics mode, log in via console and start KDE using the startx command. So, after one hour, I've been thrown back at the login prompt, KDE silently crashing in the background. When you know some colleagues that work the same way: talk them into installing this package, and you will be awarded with a quite puzzled face every hour! :-) Werner -- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

That's crazy.. *only* systemd-logind should control this, everything else will fail miserably or conflict badly. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=864534 Sorry, no suggestions. I do not have the time to dig into this because I have to move several SAP systems from SLES 11 SP2 to other VMs with SLES 11 SP3 (before SP4 is released ;-)) Werner -- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
