While checking the problem with logrotate you mentioned in SuSE's mailinglist I could not find a solution. So I checked the source and tried in the config : olddir /oldlogs with the command logrotate -d /etc/logrotate.conf

No error message appeared and I'll know tomorrow morning if it works as expected. The olddir directory translates BTW to /var/log/oldlogs. ;-)

So I thought to let you know what I found out. If it works for you, please mail it to the mailinglist.

Interesting :-) But, the person that was having problems was "Anders Jarnberg", not me. You should have emailed him and/or the list - preferably both - and as a "replyto" the posted message, so that it gets properly sorted in the archive. -- Saludos Carlos Robinson
