I just read the user guide for my new SuSE 8.1 and I realized that there is something new to me called GRUB. If I install GRUB in my MBR (which is actually booting my W2K) will it configure itself to enable multiboot for the actual W2K and linux? Should I use the "no grub" option? Thnx. --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable. Sign up now

Thnx.
Did you install grub to the mbr?
Actually, did you install SuSE yet? I can't tell from your message.
If you do install grub, it should work fine. There will be a windows option
that will call the 2000 boot loader.
My machine has 2000,xp, and 8.1. Grub calls xp, which calls 2000, so it's more
than capable of handling it.
If you use the no grub option you'll need to use the cd, or grub on a floppy
to boot linux.
During the install just check that it recognized your windows partition.
Also when it's going to write the mbr, check to make sure your windows info is
listed.
