I just installed a downloaded version from Photodex in Austin, TX It appears that Photodex is not supporting compupic for Linux any longer. Checking their site shows no new development. I have a HAM radio friend that worked there. It is a JAVA program. You need 1.4 JAVA.

I'm sure I've heard that there's a linux port of ACDsee but I've never tried it.
