Be gentle please, I'm just getting started with the internals of Postfix! In YaST on SuSE 9.2 Pro, you can configure Postfix to collect mail from individual email accounts on remote mail servers. (I had been using a fetchmail script to do this, using a procmail script to filter the incoming email through spamassassin.) OK, so I set this up in postfix via YaST, and it works fine... except that postfix seems to wait a loooong time between successive checks of those remote email servers, and I'm, well, impatient when it comes to email. (My fetchmail script polled three remote email servers and some dozen email accounts every two minutes.) Can I change this polling interval in YaST? And if not, how do I set it in postfix, please? Running postconf did not show me a variable that was intuitively obvious as the one to change... Thanks! Mark -- _______________________________________________________________ A Message From... L. Not correct. It is using fetchmail to collect mail, though both are configured in the same general setting of Yast

You can change the interval in Yast>System>Editor for /etc/sysconfig>Network>Mail>Fetchmail>Polling interval. -- Joe Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Registered Linux user 231871
