I have scanned in a book in German and would like to use OCR to convert the jpg files to an (enhanced, formated) text file. Which program is available? Price? Quality? I need to use it for German text and English text. I need to add some German pages with OO. Is there a German spell check available? bye Ronald Wiplinger

i can't speak for the OCR, but OO does have full German support. After installing both OO and the DE language package, you can change the language by opening, e.g, OO Writer and then: Tools --> Language Settings --> Languages You'll have to restart OO in order for the change to take effect. -- ----- stephan@s11n.net http://s11n.net "...pleasure is a grace and is not obedient to the commands of the will." -- Alan W.
