[opensuse] empty medium isn't recognized by system
Hello everybody. I was having trouble with K3B: it wasn't finding a cd/dvd writer. looking for solution in google, I found out that I need to put myself as user in the group "cdrom". I did it, and recorded a dvd. One day later, My system doesn't recognize empty disks anymore. It runs normally and cdrom/dvd, but when I put an empty disk in the drive, there's no reaction and /dev/cdrom doesn't work. Does anyone knows how to fix that? Thanks :) MilhoXP driveless... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I write my workaround here http://medwinz.blogsome.com/2008/12/26/workaround-for-dvd-access-on-opensuse... Maybe it can help. regards, medwinz -- Richard Dawkins - "By all means let's be open-minded, but not so open-minded that our brains drop out." -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
