Is there a 'toy' YaST module to serve as a developer's prototype?

I don't want to spend too much time poking through the 8.0 installation when 8.1 is on its way. There may be an answere on my hard drive, but I didn't find it last time I looked. I want to look into using YaST to manage some of my custom settings, but when I looked at the YaST documentation, I didn't see an easy way to get started. I'm wondering if there is a simple example of using yast to manage something such as my /etc/profile.local. STH

The example in /usr/share/doc/packages/yast2-agent-any parses /etc/hosts...might be a start. -- -ckm
