How do I setup *.doc files in Konqueror, so that when I click on them it opens the files in OpenOffice? I set it up so that OpenOffice launches when you click on the file, but it doesn't open the file. Also, staroffice files don't open anymore, since I installed OpenOffice and uninstalled Staroffice, so I'm trying to figure out how to map them to OpenOffice as well. Also, in my email app (Evolution) when I double click on a link in an email, it pops up a window that lets me open it in Konqueror or Netscape. This window opens sporadically, and I'd like to know how to change it (to perhaps add Opera to it?). Thanks, Brian
Hi, --> In Konqueror, right-click the file and select 'Open With' and then 'Other'. --> Find the program you are looking for in the list (note is displays the KDE default menu by default, the SuSE menu is under the SuSE option) and select it. --> Check the option 'Remember application association for this type of file' and click 'OK'. The next time you click on the file it will open it with the application you selected. Hope this helps. Q On Tue, 2002-10-08 at 04:09, Brian Burridge wrote:

For some reason it doesn't. It opens up OpenOffice, but does not open the file I clicked on in OpenOffice. (OpenOffice just opens with a blank document). Brian On Tue, 2002-10-08 at 00:21, Quinton Delpeche wrote:
