[opensuse] Getting rid of Zenworks
I forgot to delete Zen from my 10.2 installation. Now whenever I add an update source, it takes about a half-hour to synchronize with Zen. Can I just delete Zen with Yast, or will I cause problems removing a functioning parasite? I have had no problems with my installation after uninstalling zen. I think you will have to uninstall (use yast, or rpm -e) novell-zen, rug, and maybe one other package. Tom Jim Sabatke wrote:

In Yast you can uncheck Zen synchronization André den Oudsten -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

André den Oudsten Yes, but I was constantly forgetting to do that and hitting 'next' instead.

you can do it in yast -> adding/removing software -> filter -> schemas there you remove zen and add openSuse software management rr -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFGnklcGaryJ0T9kUYRAodqAKCIUpH9xkHudtlpFPV75ppulOKMXQCdE2VA ufbjFJDhQncaRxVeACZauiY= =5tuj -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
