How to configure /etc/shorewall/interfaces?
Hi everybody, my shorewall won't get running. Yes, I read the guids in the net and I ask the shorewall-mailinglist - no body gave me an answer. The masquerading won't work. Now I will do the configuration step by step again and hope, somebody will help me. The first I will explain my system: SuSE 7.3, DSL on eth0 (192.168.0.99), with every new connection I will get a new IP from my provider. This connections# goes over ppp0. Local network is on eth1 (192.168.100.1). I have three zones, net, loc and fw, like the sample in the net. My question: How do I have to configure the file /etc/shorewall/interfaces, or does somebody know this symptom? Can somebody help me to get it work? regards Stephan
Hi Stephan Tom the Shorewall author is usually very good at responding to questions. I believe that he is on holiday at the moment. When he returns I am sure he will respond to your question. I do not recommend DSLs and also I do not have experience with firewalling changing IPs.
