Hello SuSE folks Seems I am unable to copy something from an Open Office document to another application. It will not copy to Klipper. I can copy from other apps and paste to the Office document. Anybody else have this problem, or is it a bug with OO, or can you give me a clue on how to fix this? Bob S.

I have no problems cutting and pasting from Open Office to other apps, so it is definitely not an OO problem. Since I don't use KDE, I am not sure whether it is a KDE problem. Maybe you can try another clipboard. I personally use cutview (http://mahon.cwx.net/). Charles -- "It's God. No, not Richard Stallman, or Linus Torvalds, but God." (By Matt Welsh)

Charles, Don't know.....might be KDE related since OO is not a KDE application. If all else fails I will try what you mentioned. Then Mike Reith stated:
I've had the same problem, Bob. The only work around that I have discovered is using keyboard commands rather than the mouse/menu.
Mike, You mean CTRL+C & CTRL+V ??? How do you select the text without the mouse. Tried selecting with mouse and using commands but that don't work. Then tabanna stated:
~ maybe, mark the bit you want, and insert that into a New document . . . then save that as a TEXT file.
tabanna, Nope, don't work. Pretty convoluted way to do something that is supposed to be simple anyway. Anybody else have some ideas? Thanks for trying guys. Bob S. Thanks Bob S.
I dont think control-c and control-v will work right from openoffice to kde, but selecting the text then using the middle mouse button to paste it does work for me. Ewan On Thu, 2002-07-18 at 05:49, Robert Stia wrote:
