RE: [SLE] Problem with K3b and 9.1 [SOLVED - MAYBE]
Didn't make any difference which k3b package I used, it was the cdrecord version. If I used the cdrecord rpm from packman and the stock k3b with SuSE 9.1, all worked fine. As soon as I reverted back to the SuSE cdrecord it would not run as any user other than root. cdrecord -scanbus returned no devices if not run by root. Therefore, needs to be run as root but although I set the bit, it still ran as the user. -----Original Message----- From: Ben Rosenberg [mailto:red.kryptonite@gmail.com] Sent: Fri 6/25/2004 1:50 PM To: suse-linux-e@suse.com Subject: Re: [SLE] Problem with K3b and 9.1 [SOLVED - MAYBE] On Fri, 25 Jun 2004 11:08:55 +0200, Leendert Meyer
What is the value of 'PERMISSION_SECURITY' in the file /etc/sysconfig/security?
Mine is set to "easy local" so this isn't an issue. I think it may be the issue of Packman's K3B pkg not having a fun time with SUSE's cdrecord pkg. I haven't tested it but I do intend to do this tonight.. last night I just couldn't deal with looking at a computer. ;) -- "There is no need to teach that stars can fall out of the sky and land on a flat Earth in order to defend religious faith." -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
