[opensuse] KDE 4.8.2 Available
Hi, KDE 4.8.2 is now available in repos, I just wanted to check something about upgrading. I am running 12.1. I added these two repos: Core packages: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Release:/48/openSUSE_12.1/ Extra: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Extra/KDE_Release_48_openSUSE... Should I run zypper dup or zypper dup --from KR48 Arnie -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

You might want to wait a little bit longer before you update. Not all packages are done building just yet (12:00 CET). Excellent. I'm starting my updates now. Swapnil's question still hasn't been answered though. I'm doing my update via YaST not CLI/zypper, so I have no tips on the zypper route. C. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

never just "zypper dup" if you have more than the standard repos enabled; the outcome then is unpredictable. zypper will even issue a warning if you try (but still allow you to do it). "zypper dup --from KR48" should be fine. personally i find it more convenient to solve possible dependency issues using YAST software management, with the "switch to packages from this repo" switch. -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Thanks. That's all I needed to know :-) Upgraded. Everything is working fine so far. Swapnil
