[opensuse] Firefox 9 crashing
Just upgraded to Firefox 9 on 12.1 x64, and it won't start at all... (8 worked fine) Run from a terminal, I get this: *** nss-shared-helper: Shared database disabled (set NSS_USE_SHARED_DB to enable). How do I do this?? Thanks, John. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

This informal message has nothing to do with it for sure. (Finally I removed that message from Factory versions as it just causes too much confusion). "It won't start at all" also means you get no crash reporter window but just nothing? First try with a new test user or fresh profile to find out if it's the intstallation or your profile. You can also try to run it with firefox -safe-mode to see if it starts up. Please let us know what you find. Wolfgang Yep, sorry. Worked it out, I think. Was an extension problem. Initially with some testing it seemed a bit ambiguous (appeared to point at a number of extensions), but I think I finally tracked it down to "Awesome screenshot", which apparently is supposed to be OK with 9, but appears not...
