If /dev/cdrom is not a symbolic link to a /dev/hdx device, just use /dev/hdx instead. (x being whichever IDE-device your CDROM is). /Per Jessen, Zürich

Start Yast/Hardware/CD-ROM drives There will be a list with the cd-rom drives, as well as their /dev/hdx node. Just see which one you need. -- -- Svetoslav Milenov (Sunny)

Assuming these changes are correct to rid me of automount.
Those changes allow you to mount manually, but they do not disable automount. To do that you need to modify hald configuration. - -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Made with pgp4pine 1.76 iD8DBQFEO5txtTMYHG2NR9URArJVAJ9rEmw78zBZL6cFZxo/c/fGnD1L1gCdHxO6 Eh/N7xRTe6o8EO1kPiBhzf0= =rAHg -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
