[opensuse] Latest updates prevent wireless from working
I am running SuSE 11.1. Yesterday I authorized the automatic updates and could still connect wireless. Today since I rebooted my laptop I could not connect wirelessly any more. The system command ifconfig does not even see the wireless eth0. But the lspci sees it so the card should not be out of order. The system messages do not present any attempt to activate the wireless connection since this morning. I have attached a screenshot showing the wireless card model: PRO/Wireless 2015ABG. It looks like its driver was not even loaded by default by the new updated kernel. Any help at reactivating my wireless card is more than welcome. Thank you very much, Maura __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Poco spazio e tanto spam? Yahoo! What kernel do you use? There's a bug in 2.6.32-rc(1|2) which causes such behaviour. It's fixed in 2.6.32-rc1-git3 and above. 2.6.31.x is not affected. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
