Limiting user SSH to the home directory
Dear all, I want to allow SSH for the user so he can have shell access. However, I want to limit the user's ability to his home directory only. Is there a way to achieve something like this so that even if the user types '# cd ..' he will stay in his home's directory?? Thank you Chris

chrooting: configuring openssh for chrooted sessions on linux, and run applications from the chroot cage: http://mail.incredimail.com/howto/openssh/ http://chrootssh.sourceforge.net/index.php Or use the commercial ssh which afaik know natively about chrooting. Josephine

Define the user to use rbash instead of bash. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
