I need an X Server for an S3 Trio3D 4MB onboard video adapter. This is on a new PIII 450 IBM computer. I tried the S3 on the 6.3 DVD and the SVGA Servers. Neither work at all. Anyone know of one? Hi John, I also wanted to use this card and had problems with it using SAX with the S3 so I used XF86SETUP instead and had no problems with it,check the number on the card, somthing like 86C368 in the list of cards you can choose from in the s3 area,I did find the graphics alot slower than using s3 trio64v2/dx -- TTFN (SuSE LiNUX 6.3) Peter Hargroves peter@hargroves.screaming.net -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
I'll see what I can find out. It's not a care, but rather on the motherboard chipset. It still might be indicated somewhere. I did just find another S3 server on XFree's web site. I'm still having problems, but think I'm making progress. Think like you I have to use either setup or config, but not SAX. At 03:43 PM 2/1/2000 , you wrote:
