[opensuse] xsane/kprinter question
Hello list user: I frequently use xsane's copy function to save the scanned document directly to pdf files. The printer command in xsane is set to 'kprinter'. This results in launching kprinter when the scan process is finished and I can set in the kprinter window where to print to. If I select here pdf document I can't change the paper size. It is set to A4 and can't be changed. I would like to print to letter paper, how can I set that? Thanks, IG VÁSÁROLJON ONLINE! xsane -> preferences -> setup -> copy -> "add printer" make necessary parameter changes also kprinter -> properties -> driver settings -> general -> page size -> A4 save THEN choose the pdf document (worx for me), gud luk - -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFHTXOMClSjbQz1U5oRAjGeAKClPgCTpmOTxZBKe9OBk0A2hVVGvgCfYWpn YqoRlI8GrfkyH2F4mg7QEe8= =OCYr -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

also
kprinter -> properties -> driver settings -> general -> page size -> A4
save
THEN choose the pdf document
Thanks for your answer. I did the above but the pdf output is still A4. I also tried to print from firefox, and if I set the page to letter both in firefox and in kprinter (by the the way as you suggested) the output is letter size. Can be the culprit sane/xsane? I have the following packages: kdebase3-3.5.7-57.2 (kprinter) sane-1.0.18-34 xsane-0.991-32 The system is openSUSE 10.2. Any other suggestion? Thanks, IG SMS-ÉRTESÍTŐ - Fontos levelet vársz?
