[opensuse] libreoffice calc: how to prevent hanging out of text from cells?
Hello: Hopefully this is something simple: When I put text in a cell in libreoffice calc, the text hangs over the neighboring cell if text width is wider than width of the cell and the neighboring cell has no content. I would like to disable this behavior. I want visible text to be cut off at the edge of the cell even if the neighbor cell is emtpy. How can I set it? Maybe a bug. According to the Help, it's this parameter, found when going to Tools - Options - LibreOffice Calc - View: Text overflow If a cell contains text that is wider than the width of the cell, the text is displayed over empty neighbouring cells in the same row. If there is no empty neighbouring cell, a small triangle at the cell border indicates that the text continues. I just did a test on my version 4.1.6.2 on openSUSE 13.1, and unticking that box does not stop the text overflowing. gumb -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

This is the option I looked for. I googled but but did not use the correct keyword 'overflow', I used the terms hang, overhang.

I tried it too and unticking the checkbox did not make a change either. Libreoffice 3.5 build 413 in openSUSE 12.2. Thanks, Istvan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Have you tried the Libreoffice Mailing list? You might get a better answer from them. Ian -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
