I am also an aracnet.net customer..well, soon not to be. I have installed a
cable modem and will let my aracnet subscription die. I've found their
service to be very spotty over the last year. I suspect that they were the
ones at fault (they would never admit it though).
I can sometimes connect to aracnet and sometimes not. I'm not changing
anything on my end. However, I can ALWAYS connect to work through CIS.
What does that tell you???

I have been having difficulty uploading my web page... [<A HREF="http://www.aracnet.net/~jonathan/linux.html"><A HREF="http://www.aracnet.net/~jonathan/linux.html</A">http://www.aracnet.net/~jonathan/linux.html if you're interested] I use command-line FTP (like a real man) and it would send all bytes and freeze
end. The result was a 0 byte file! I had to mail the file to the ISP and
put it there. I complained, they said it was my end and I insisted it was theirs.
It happened again the other day, so I thought I would show them, rebooted to Win95, fired up command-line FTP and...
It worked.
I refuse to be reliant on Wingdings for anything. Besides, the Internet is Linux' playground! What's going on here? Any hints? Has anyone else had
at the they this
problem?
