This is a bit of a long shot, but check if db/glibc are both i586 or both i686. I had a problem recently where this was not the case: http://lists.suse.com/archive/suse-linux-e/2004-Sep/4151.html In there is how to check if db/glibc are i586/i686. Cheers, Leen

Edit src/Makefile, look for the line that says LIBS = $(SUBLIBS) -L/usr/lib/ -L$(QTDIR)/lib/ -L/usr/X11R6/lib/ -L../lib -lqtstalker -ldl -lqt-mt -lXext -lX11 -lm -lpthread and change it to LIBS = $(SUBLIBS) -L../db-2.7.7/build_unix -L/usr/lib/ -L$(QTDIR)/lib/ -L/usr/X11R6/lib/ -L../lib -lqtstalker -ldl -lqt-mt -lXext -lX11 -lm -lpthread -ldb

Yup. Edit src/src.pro, near the end: LIBS += -L../lib -lqtstalker has to become: LIBS += -L/usr/X11R6/lib/ -L../lib -lqtstalker Building an rpm now. Cheers, Leen

When you unpack the tar.gz you get a directory called qtstalker, in that directory is a subdirectory called src and in that directory is a file called Makefile which gets created when you run make. So let it run until you get to the error, then edit as above

SuSE is an rpm based distro. You should consider 'checkinstall' to replace the 'make install' step. no man pages, but a help page via /usr/sbin/checkinstall --help also information under /usr/share/doc/packages/checkinstall/ -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/photos
