[opensuse] screen resolution 11.3
Hi I've set the screen resolution in kde4 to 1440x900 however as soon as I log out, it turns into 1440x960 and a sliding virtual screen. OK but annoying. How can I make the resolution 'stick' at 1440x900? Nvidia 64 bit 256.36 self compiled. (The 11.3 nouveau. driver doesn't work for me) Thanks. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

While in 1440x960, try running "X -configure" to generate an xorg.conf file with that resolution. See if it holds then. -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
There is also an xorg.conf configuration script included with the nvidia proprietary driver. It's /usr/bin/nvidia-xconfig. IIRC /usr/bin/nvidia-settings can also write the file.
