saving yast2:software-selection to disk possible?
Hi, is it possible to save my current software/package selection to a floppy for another installation which should have the same software packages? Yast2 asks during installation if that is wanted, but can I do it on a running system? thanx, Hansen -- Powered by SuSE 8.1 - KDE 3.0.3 - KMail 1.4.3

What about "rpm -qa"? Is that sufficient? -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless

Difficult to do it from a system that isn't running :) In YaST2, select "export" from the menu.

Is there a way to automate that, e.g. in a backup script? -- ========================================================= Glenn Holmer (Linux registered user #16682) --------------------------------------------------------- "I do not approve of anything that tampers with natural ignorance.
