I'm trying to get thumber to compile under SuSE 8.2 and it fails. I made sure by looking at the readme that I had what it said it needed to compile. It needed qt3,qmake, and a c++ compiler. I was just curious if anyone has got this thing to compile? If so how? If you need the errors, I can post them but there is quite a few. Thanks. -- Marshall "Nothing is impossible, we just do not have all the anwsers to make the impossible, possible."

Yes
If so how?
Before running setup.sh, do export QTDIR=/usr/lib/qt3 if you have a custom installation of qt3, substitute the path to it above

Thanks Anders! Question for you, how did you know to export the path to qt? Just curious bacause I have no programming skills at all. To Charles, the tip here that Anders gave allowed the program to compile. Thanks everyone! -- Marshall "Nothing is impossible, we just do not have all the anwsers to make the impossible, possible."

Experience. I've compiled qt and kde stuff before, and have run into that variable several times. Of course, most projects actually tell you that it needs to be done :)

Please post the errors you are getting. Charles -- "Computers may be stupid, but they're always obedient. Well, almost always." -- Larry Wall (Open Sources, 1999 O'Reilly and Associates)
