Hey Group; After SuSE's mandated of a old CD xine-lib over my newer one - xine is failing. This is the error message. I do have tvtime (tvtime-0.9.12) working. I have just about every possible lib listed installed. "ldd /usr/bin/xine" is happy. Anyone have a idea what SuSE old lib could have done to ruin a working xine?. The GUI shows up and then disappears I have basically remove by hand and reinstalled all of the previously working files and still it is not working Where is "plugin named tvtime" does it come from tvtime or a development set of tvtime? strace -o xine.err xine ____________________________________________________ This is xine (X11 gui) - a free video player v0.9.23. Where is "plugin named tvtime" does it come from tvtime or a development set of tvtime?

Er, you mean you let it downgrade from libxine1 to xine-lib and then didn't upgrade, and now you're wondering why things don't work?
This is the error message. I do have tvtime (tvtime-0.9.12) working.
the tvtime thing isn't the fatal error, the relocation error is. The newer libxine1 does not have the same interface as the older. upgrade man, upgrade, and don't let yast tell you otherwise
